Sharanbasveshwar College of Commerce, Vidya Nagar, Kalaburagi established in the year 1961 by the renowned Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha. The prestigious Sangha, established in the year1903 aims at imparting quality education to the Hyderabad-Karnataka, now, Kalyan- Karnataka region. This college has very successfully completed 60 years with a modest growth every year.
Escalating to greater heights, the institution has dedicated towards the all-round development of the students to excel in business, research, entrepreneurship, legal services, social activities along with the education sought to procure the degree. In the year 2015 the institution was accredited by NAAC with “A” grade. Permanently affiliated to Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi the institution acquires 2(f) and 12(B) status of UGC. It is recognized as institution of excellence with Quality Management System ISO 900:2015. Providing quality education to the students is the main motto of the institution with the constant guidance of the management and the sincere efforts of the faculty.
Every year students secure 3-4 ranks to the affiliated university, Gulbarga University Kalaburagi. The institution is recognized for its commitment towards social services through NSS which is adjudged as the best NSS unit by the Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi. In this span of 60 years the institution credits producing several industrialists, gazetted officers, policemen, chartered accountants , bank officers, police officers, sports persons, teachers, entrepreneurs etc., at the state and national level.
It is a matter of great pride that students have brought many laurels, prizes, awards and rewards to the institution by participating in various competitions held at state and national level. I express my deep sense of gratitude to Poojya Dr. Sharanabasawappa Appaji, President. Of our Sangha for his constant guidance and inspiration.
