Ragging is a crime – say ‘No’ to Ragging
Ragging is prohibited as per the decision of the Honorable Supreme Court of India in writ petition No (C ) 656 / 1998 Anti – Ragging and Disciplinary Committee has been established in the college as per the directives of UGC.
Its objective is to ensure a completely ragging free environment. Members of the cell go round the college campus regularly to take note of errant behaviour, advise the students and take punitive action if necessary.
Objectives
- To comply with the directives of UGC issued from time to time.
- To ensure completely ragging free environment.
- To create awareness among seniors that ragging of any kind is prohibited by law .
- To deal with the incidents of ragging promptly and stringently .
- To ensure discipline in the class rooms and within the college campus.
- To promote responsible behaviour amongst students .
- To create a fair sense of what is legal and what is illegal amongst students.
- To promote high moral standards amongst students .
